Target Content: Talking about which  sports they prefer and expressing which of them they like to play

Target structure: Simple Present

Objectives:
1-            At the end of the class students will be able to express which sport they prefer and which one they like to play using the simple present in a 80% of accuracy  

Materials: markers, pictures, whiteboard

ACTIVITIES
5 mins
What is the man doing?
1- The teacher will ask for a volunteer to pass to the front and he will steak a picture on the student’s back about a boy who is  playing any sport
2- The student will show to his classmates the picture and will ask What is the man doing?
3- His classmates will tell him what the man is doing, with a sentence using the simple present
15 mins
Language Notes: The teacher will explain to the students the structures of simple present, the rules of the verb in 3° personal singular, and how they can use the simple present in simple sentences.
For example:
She likes to play soccer with her friends.
I don’t like to play basketball
You play tennis.
He plays soccer.

1o mins
1- The teacher will ask to the students to write 5 sentences about their favorite sports using the simple present and
2- when they finish they will compare their sentences with their classmates
3- Finally the teacher will check the mistakes.

10 mins








10 mins
1- The teacher will ask to the students to form couples and He will ask them to create a short conversation about the sports they prefer using simple present.
2- The teacher will give them 4 minutes for creating the conversation.
3- The teacher will give them 3 minutes to practice the conversation
4- The teacher will pass to the front at least 3 couples to performance their conversation.

1- The teacher will ask some questions to his students using simple present in order to know if they can use it.
For example:
What do you like?
2-He will give them homework assignment
